Stroke & Turn clinic - ONLINE

Learn the rules of competitive swimming and how to judge the form of strokes and turns. We strongly recommend you have experience timing before taking this clinic as you'll be expected to be familiar with the basics of a swim meet.

After completing this clinic, you'll be ready to volunteer as a stroke & turn official at our 04 Dec, 11-12 Mar, and 28 May swim meets.

The clinic starts at 6:30pm, will take about 1.5 hours, and will be held online. To sign up:

1. Sign up for the clinic by clicking on the job sign-up link on this page. Please enter the name of the participant in the notes.

2. Go to Swimming Canada Education and log in with your Swimming Canada account. Select Clinics and search for the "Maple Ridge - Judge of Stroke/Inspector of Turns - Nov 24/22 @ 6:30pm to 8:00pm" clinic. Select Register. You'll receive a confirmation email. Just before the clinic, you'll receive a second email with the Zoom link. If you do not have an account, contact officialsdirector@teamsungod.ca

To prepare for the clinic, review this: Stroke & Turn Clinic and ensure you sign into the Zoom meeting 5-10 minutes in advance.

Participants will receive 5 PPP for participating in this clinic.

If you've taken the clinic before but just want a refresher in stroke & turn, please feel free to join us (although you won't received the PPP.)
