January swimmer of the month

February 17, 2025

Hello and happy 2025! Flashing back to 2024 we ended the year with alot of great meets, many new personal best times, club records, new time standards and just overall amazing swimming. December saw our team race at pass meet #2, our club hosted a distance lmr, spartans santa lmr, the December fun meet and we capped off the month in Richmond at fast swim. The first four months of this season have seen so much improvement and growth in the club and we are so impressed!

The coaches are excited to announce.....

Swimmer of the month for January

Learn to compete: Lucy Blount & Aadya Garg

From Lucys' very first practice, she’s shown up ready to push herself to new limits, always eager to improve. Her positive attitude is inspiring. Whether it's tackling a tough set or encouraging teammates, Lucy’s enthusiasm and commitment is great to see!

Aadya has truly blossomed in her swim practices, growing both in skill and confidence. As a leader in her lane, she consistently sets a great example for her teammates with her unwavering focus and determination. Congrats, Aadya!

Learn to compete Gold: Eddie Marshall

Eddie Marshall has taken some big steps this last month, he attended his first pass meet ever and made great effort towards racing and reaching for that LMR qualifying time! Eddie shows up to every practice with a smile on his face and excited to try new things and work hard no matter what is thrown his way! Congratulations, Eddie!

Novice: Tej Dadwal

Tej recently joined Novice and it has been great to see him adapt to a new environment so quickly. He has been working hard in practice, even when things get difficult.

Regional: Yoram Wang

Yoram has been hard at work over the past weeks, working towards his LMR qualifying time. He was able to achieve this through his dedication and focus during practices.

Junior Blue & White: Colin Wu

Congratulations to Colin Wu.  He is this month's Junior group Swimmer of the Month. Colin has made some huge technical changes in his fly and the results have been some great improvements in his swimming speeds. The coaching staff has been extremely pleased with his practice efforts and we can't wait to watch him race at our March LMR. Keep up the great work Colin, your goals are challenging but you will get there if you keep this up!

Senior White: Nicholas Huang

Nicholas Huang has done an amazing job this last month in practice and at the sksc winterfest Swim Meet! He faces every practice head on and hasn’t given up when it has gotten hard; that work paid off at the recent meet where he managed to get 100% best times, blowing some of his old times out of the water! Congratulations, Nick!

Senior Blue & Gold: Aaron Alby

For swimming best times in practice and his noticeable effort in the past month. Despite occasionally being the only male in practice, he continues to show up and works hard on getting better. Well done, Aaron.
